What should I pack on my trip to Kauai?

I’m going to Kauai for a week in June. I’ve never been to Hawaii and I’m not sure what to pack. We’re staying in Princeville. Advice on what to pack would be appreciated! Thanks!

    The right shoes other than that think you will need the right shoes other than that think you plan on hiking then you will be fine.

    You’ll love it.

    1) Several bathing suits/beach gear. You’ll probably spend so much time in the water, your suit won’t dry before the next time you need it. Bring a hat and sunglasses.

    2) Causal dress wear. There are no suit & tie places in Hawaii. They are very laid back. Dockers and a shirt/open toed shoes and a dress are as dressy as you are likely to need if you go out to a nice restaurant.

    3) Sneakers, sandals, lots of suntan lotion.

    4) It will be about 70 degrees at night. Possibly windy, bring a windbreaker or sweatshirt if you plan on being out late at night or early in the morning, or if you plan on going to Waimea Canyon and any of the spots overlooking the canyon.

    You’re going to be wearing beach clothes most of the time. You probably only need to bring other clothes to go out to eat at night. Enjoy.

    Favorite restaurants - Keoki’s Paradise and Roy’s in the Poipu Shopping Village. you won’t be sorry.
